Black Expat Month Feature: Meet Asha Farrah @asha.farrah Asha Farrah is an expat and legal resident in Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico. Originally from Harlem, NYC, she has traveled to nearly 30 countries and 5 continents. Asha always desired to travel the world and live abroad. After traveling through nearly a third of Mexico over the last 15 years, her decision on which country she would expatriate to was pretty easy. In 2018, she knew the only thing holding her back from pursuing the expat journey was student loan debt. Exploring an expat journey through financial freedom was the goal. So she convinced her spouse to take on a 3 year debt free plan before making the move to Mexico. After successfully paying back her student loan debt early, she began the journey abroad. She observed that while there was information online that showcased the highlight reel of expat life, there wasn't anything that focused on the logistical steps to initiate the process. Moving abroad can be overwhelming and having a guide that can explain the step by step process is necessary. That's why Asha created her company Mexpat Dreamers. Mexpat Dreamers empowers aspiring expats to design an intentional life by focusing on the logistical considerations necessary to thrive. Through 1:1 consultations, discussion series, and relocation tours, Asha offers customized relocation services tailored to complement your lifestyle desires.
